Project Manager: Site Projects

The Project Engineer plays a pivotal role in the conceptualization, planning, and execution of site projects from inception to completion. This involves delivering timely production updates on-site, providing quality assurance and control services, risk management, and ensuring accurate project monitoring.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain high-quality records for environmental, mining, and Quality assurance purposes;
  • Develop short- and medium-term mine plans for underground operations, ensuring key physicals are achieved according to quarterly mine plans;
  • Review all aspects of drill and blast design for effective execution;
  • Assess the effectiveness of mine ventilation systems;
  • Provide technical support and quality control of works according to Contract Specifications and relevant Statutory Regulations;
  • Regularly inspect work to ensure quality meets stated objectives and required environmental controls are in place;
  • Create EOM People Report (sent to HSEQ Manager by 4th of new month);
  • EOM Turnover Report;
  • Planned vs Unplanned Component Cost Sheet;
  • Major Maintenance Planner Sheet;
  • Monitoring Component Usage Sheet; and
  • Labour estimate based on roster comparison to actual costs.
