Job Summary:

About This Role

This position plays a vital part in supporting a joint department of defense program in Alice Springs, Australia.

Main Responsibilities
  • The ideal candidate will apply professional nursing principles and procedures to patient care.
  • They should be able to react skillfully and alertly to emergency situations.
  • Possessing knowledge of training and teaching methods is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required to develop rapport with patients and co-workers.
  • Practical knowledge of laboratory procedures and guidelines, as well as skill in collecting various samples, is necessary.
  • The nurse will perform routine, urgent, and emergency care.
  • Triage and provide medical advice to patients within the scope of practice.
  • Responsibilities include checking blood pressures and weights, performing electrocardiograms (EKGs), drawing blood, and collecting urine samples.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience working as a registered/licensed nurse is required.
  • A medical license to practice nursing in Australia must be held.
  • A bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from an accredited institution is also required.
  • Candidates must hold current CPR certification.
