At Volvo Group, we're shaping the future of efficient, safe, and sustainable transport solutions. As a Material Control Intern, you'll play a vital role in supporting our Material Control department by identifying bottlenecks and assisting with process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Update databases and track the status of incoming parts to support management of parts in the process flow.
  • Generate and analyze daily and weekly reports to help manage slow-moving inventory.
  • Participate in local, regional, and global networks to contribute to process improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct cross-functional investigations to promote continuous improvement projects.
  • Utilize data analytics to identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions.
  • Manipulate data from sources like SQL databases, Excel, and SharePoint to support design recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with Volvo's Environmental and Workplace Health & Safety policies.
  • Promote a safety-first culture in all work processes.
Requirements:
  • Currently studying Industrial Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate/advanced) and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in Qlik View, Power BI, or SQL as an advantage.
  • Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
