Modernize Legacy Codebases and Drive Business Outcomes

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced software engineer to join our team on a short-term contract. As part of this role, you will be responsible for modernizing and stabilizing a financial services client's technology stack.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Refactor and modernize existing .NET applications to improve performance, maintainability, and security
  • Contribute to new API and microservice development as required
  • Integrate applications with Microsoft Azure PaaS components, including Functions, Service Bus, SQL, API Management, and Key Vault
  • Ensure compatibility with CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
  • Share knowledge and uplift engineering practices across the team
Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for individuals with the following skills and qualifications:

  • 6+ years of hands-on .NET experience (C#, .NET Core/Framework)
  • Strong track record in refactoring and modernizing legacy codebases
  • Practical experience with Azure PaaS components
  • Skilled in secure coding, performance optimization, and integration patterns
