The Role
As the Venue Manager, you'll oversee daily operations of a busy venue in a fast-paced environment, ensuring efficient service and high standards. Your role includes managing front-of-house and back-of-house activities, financial responsibilities like cost of goods sold (COGS) and cost of equipment (COE), and conducting profit and loss reviews. You'll set the standard for customer service, handle inquiries and complaints, manage inventory, order supplies, and train and mentor staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of a busy venue, ensuring efficient service and high standards.
- Oversee front-of-house and back-of-house activities, including financial responsibilities.
- Conduct profit and loss reviews to drive business growth.
- Set the standard for customer service, handle inquiries and complaints.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and train and mentor staff.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in hospitality management, with a background in a managerial role within the industry.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Solid understanding of financial management, including budget control and financial reporting.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a commitment to delivering an elevated dining experience.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.
- Experience as a barista and a strong knowledge of coffee are beneficial.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate and Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
