Job Title

Strategic Learning Director - Capability Development

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the development of our learning and capability programs.

This role will be responsible for implementing a comprehensive review of our capability framework, aligning it with our learning management system and integrating it with our performance and development processes.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team to drive capability in line with our new strategic plan.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development, delivery, and ongoing improvement of our learning and capability programs.
  • Maintain and implement our capability framework.
  • Develop and implement our SES and whole-of-agency performance framework.
  • Design and implement a skills taxonomy aligned to our job family framework.
About You:

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience leading a learning and development team or similar role in a fast-paced and large complex people-centred organisation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in learning and capability strategy, design, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Experience managing learning systems, mandatory training programs, and enterprise capability frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of performance frameworks and talent development models, including the 70:20:10 model and how to operationalise it in a hybrid learning environment.
