Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety and Compliance Officer to join our team at Labourpower. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing effective WHS support to our clients and contributing to the overall safety culture of our team, clients, and projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain safety policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Assist with the review, collation, and distribution of safety communication, including SWMS, toolboxes, safety alerts, and site safety documentation.
  • Collaborate with the equipment supervisor to maintain and record keeping of machinery safety devices, such as first aid kits, fire extinguishers, harnesses, and others.
  • Compile data for safety and quality reporting and initiatives, ensuring timely submission to relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in document preparation for internal and external compliance audits and reviews, and certificate renewals.
  • Assist the Operations Manager with site audits and inspections, and action NCRs within the required timeframe.
  • Investigate public or client complaints, incidents, or accidents, documenting corrective actions.
  • Participate in post-project review meetings to discuss lessons learned and identify areas for improvement.
