Job Overview

An aerospace propulsion specialist is responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of personnel in both aerial and ground operations. This role involves servicing, testing, and repairing various engine components to meet operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Defective engine parts must be identified and removed.
  • Engine issues including oil, electrical, and airflow systems must be diagnosed.
  • Appropriate maintenance actions must be recommended and implemented.
  • Repair and test-run procedures must be supervised.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent with 15 college credits is required.
  • Mechanical, hydromechanical, electrical, and hydraulic principles must be understood.
  • Aerospace propulsion maintenance courses must have been completed.
  • A current National Agency Check, Local Agency Checks, and Credit are mandatory.
  • Completion of 8.5 weeks of Basic Military Training is necessary.
