Job Title: Production Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to join our team in the Lake Macquarie region.

This role will involve overseeing the operation of an underground longwall-based mining facility, leading the production team to meet business objectives in safety, environment, cost, and equipment performance.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong background in coal mining management with a diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Current practicing certificate and risk management qualifications (G2/G3).
  • At least 10 years of management experience in the mining industry or similar field.
  • Certificate IV in leadership and management and sound computer literacy skills.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing shift undermanagers and engineering coordinators to support safe and efficient implementation of the mine plan.
  • Reviewing compliance with the daily plan and ensuring corrective actions are taken.
  • Liaising with other superintendents to achieve budgeted targets.
