Your Responsibilities as Associate Nurse Unit Manager (Orthopaedic/Neurosurgery)

  • Facilitate a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Maintain professional working relationships with VMO partners using a customer service mindset.
  • Provide clinical operational direction for the unit, ensuring efficient management.
  • Be accountable for human, financial, and material resources.
  • Coordinate clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Undertake direct patient care when required.

Requirements

  • Current Registration with AHPRA.
  • Working with Children check.
  • 3+ years orthopaedic, neurology or surgical experience.
  • Able to work rotational night shifts.
  • Desirable: ANUM, Shift Manager, or Clinical Nurse Specialist experience.
  • Sound clinical knowledge.
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Positive role modeling behaviours.
  • Excellent customer service focus, time management, and prioritisation.
  • Ability to manage a dynamic environment.
  • High degree of computer literacy.

Salary Range: $52.93 to $54.71 per hour based on relevant nursing experience against the Healthscope Victoria - Nurses' and Midwives' Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025.
