Role Overview

We're seeking a talented Editorial Videographer to join our team, responsible for creating engaging video content that resonates with our audience. As a key member of our newsroom, you'll be working closely with our journalists and editors to develop and produce high-quality video packages that drive our breaking news agenda.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pitch, research, and script news videos and packages
  • Manage video production from ideation to post-production, ensuring timely delivery under tight deadlines
  • Develop a keen eye for creative ways to tell stories, staying up-to-date with the latest off-platform video trends
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the newsroom and wider company to identify opportunities for audience-first videos across multiple platforms
  • Ensure all journalistic and legal standards are followed
  • Have a strong understanding of social video platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, and be proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro

Requirements

  • Some experience as a creative storyteller with technical proficiency in shooting and editing video content
  • Experience with Photoshop
  • Proficiency in operating professional video cameras, including knowledge of framing, composition, and lighting techniques
  • Strong technical skills in troubleshooting and maintaining camera equipment
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to take direction
