About the Role

This maintenance reliability engineer role is part of a major project supporting operations for a leading energy company in Perth.

The position will contribute directly to the maintenance and reliability efforts of assets under our portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare maintenance strategies for different existing maintenance strategies, aligning with performance standards, regulatory requirements and support maintenance strategy optimization.
  • Prepare maintenance and material master data in line with client guidelines and current practice.
  • Identify critical spares, manage SPIR and ensure correct levels are held state-wide, to enhance asset reliability.
  • Perform equipment criticality analysis.
  • Develop/update maintenance work instructions.
  • Provide technical support and advice to team members and project teams; participate in peer reviews; and consult with relevant resources as required.
  • Lead and implement improvement ideas based on recurring issues.
  • Actively provide leadership to operational and maintenance teams and keep open lines of communication in relation to safety, production and cost improvement ideas.
Requirements
  • A recognized engineering degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation & control or equivalent.
  • Proven background working in EPC or engineering consultancy environments.
  • Eligible for membership with Engineers Australia.
  • Substantial experience in maintenance engineering in Oil & Gas or similar industry experience.
  • Extensive experience with SAP, FMECA, RCA and RCM.
  • Knowledge in process safety, AU and international standards.
  • Experience in data management, maintenance strategy and master data create/update in maintenance management system (CMMS).
