The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Communications Specialist to join our team for a dynamic Federal Government client. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with stakeholders to drive initiatives and visions, leveraging your expertise to elevate operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

This role demands strategic foresight and practical problem-solving skills as you tackle complex challenges and streamline workflows. You will lead and execute critical projects that shape the future of the organisation, crafting and implementing innovative solutions to optimise processes and drive efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective communications strategies using a range of tools, including media, social media, and branding.
  • Provide technical communications advice, including branding and design of materials for the organisation's webpage.
  • Engage with internal and whole-of-government stakeholders to ensure consistency of messaging.
  • Draft public information on complex issues and key products such as media releases, media backgrounders, remarks/speeches, and social media content.

This position requires a minimum NV1 Security Clearance, with NV2 preferred. The role has a 6-month contract period with a possible 12-month extension. Candidates must be Australian Citizens with a minimum Negative Vetting (NV1) or higher clearance.
