Job Title: Model-Based Engineering Specialist

About the Role

Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a highly skilled Model-Based Engineering Specialist to join our Joint Systems business unit in Brisbane. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in accelerating the implementation of digital engineering approaches to solve complex Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4) problems for the Australian Defence Force (ADF).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop digital engineering plans and processes for Defence programs
  • Contribute directly to program deliverables
  • Mentor and provide on-the-job training to colleagues to develop digital engineering skills
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary communities of practice to share best practices and influence the evolution of Boeing tools and processes
  • Collaborate with end users, customers, suppliers, and peer organizations to tailor Boeing's digital engineering approaches to solve real-world problems

Requirements

  • Systems engineering background with a mixture of architecture, design, and integration experience in complex defence technology programs
  • Experience in successfully applying MBSE and other digital engineering techniques to complex programs
  • Ability to mentor and train colleagues
  • Experience in tailoring UAF or like frameworks to solve specific problems
  • Experience using MBSE modelling tools such as No Magic MagicDraw, Cameo, or Dassault Systems Magic System of Systems Architect
