Family Day Care Coordinator

Job Description:

The role of Family Day Care Coordinator is crucial in ensuring the development and provision of quality care and education. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, recruiting, and supporting contracted Family Day Care educators to provide home-based care.

Key responsibilities include recruitment and assessment of educators, monitoring the quality of care provided by home-based educators, and ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and approved learning frameworks.

Additionally, the coordinator will mentor home-based educators to demonstrate a high standard of ethical and professional practice and behaviour that aligns with the organisation's vision and values.

The coordinator will also ensure a safe environment is maintained by home-based educators and work collaboratively with the Family Day Care Operations Manager to achieve best practice and quality outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Early Childhood approved Diploma or equivalent as approved by ACECQA (required)
  • Demonstrated thorough knowledge and understanding of current early childhood education practices, child development legislative and framework documentation, including Education and Care Regulations, National Quality Framework and Early Years Framework.
