Job Overview

This role involves leading project management, technical guidance and client interaction services. The primary focus is on assisting clients with their carbon accounting requirements, offset and abatement strategy development.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Project management, technical lead and engagement for Climate Active, Science-Based Target initiative (SBTi), National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER) and related projects
  2. Development of accurate carbon footprints for organisations, sites, precincts, products, services and events (as applicable), including Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions
  3. Maintenance of databases of carbon emissions intensity factors and metrics for Scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse gas emissions sources
  4. Assessment of relevant boundaries for carbon inventories and emissions sources
  5. Conduct of workshops, meetings, webinars etc. to engage with clients for data collection, boundary setting, offset and abatement planning
  6. Liaison with relevant Government, standards organisations and other stakeholders in relation to carbon accounting methods, compliance, certification and verification requirements
  7. Development of carbon offset and carbon abatement strategies
  8. Delivery of timely, high-quality solutions to extract and process customer data
  9. Interpretation of sustainability data and ensuring the highest standards in inventory analysis are met
  10. Management of multiple client projects concurrently
  11. Client account management
  12. Staying up-to-date with new standards/protocols and methods for carbon accounting and communicating relevant developments and opportunities to colleagues and clients
  13. Preparation of reports in MS Word (excellent report writing skills required)
  14. Preparation of MS PowerPoint presentations
  15. Preparation of MS Excel frameworks for calculation of GHG emissions inventories
  16. Generation of follow-on projects for carbon accounting clients
  17. Proposal writing for new work
