Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HSEQ Manager to join our team in NSW/ACT. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our safety and compliance efforts, ensuring that our work practices, facilities, equipment, systems, and processes are safe and pose a minimal risk to our workers, customers, and the broader environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks, and ensure that corrective actions are taken promptly.
  • Collaborate with operational management teams, supervisors, and workers to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, and develop recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other stakeholders to stay up-to-date on the latest safety and compliance requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on safety procedures and protocols.
  • Develop and implement quality management systems to ensure that our services meet the highest standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize the risk of injury and illness.
  • Develop and maintain records of safety incidents, near-misses, and other safety-related events.
  • Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of WHS Act, Regulations, and Codes in all states and territories.
  • Experience with Federal Safety Certification (FSC) accreditation.
  • Formal qualifications in OHS & E.
  • Quality management System experience and understanding.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Accredited Safety Lead Auditor certification.
  • Self-insurance experience.
  • Experience in maintaining certification to ISO 9000, 14001, 45001.
  • Multi-state and multi-contract experience.
