About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HSEQ Manager to join our team at SNC Lavalin. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and oversight of health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote a proactive safety culture throughout our operations in Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement HSEQ Systems: Guide and support project leaders and senior management in understanding and implementing HSEQ requirements comprehensively.
  • Manage and Enhance Business Systems: Manage and enhance in-house HSEQ systems to ensure they are effective and efficient.
  • Implement and Oversee Global HSE Management System (GHSEMS): Assist in the implementation and oversight of the GHSEMS and BlueBook standards.
  • Conduct Regular HSE Audits: Conduct regular HSE audits for projects and office environments, supporting the business to address findings and manage corrective actions for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure Ongoing Accreditation: Ensure ongoing accreditation to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Promote Best Practices: Serve as an ambassador for the company's values, promoting best practices in HSE.
Requirements
  • Experience in HSEQ Systems: Demonstratable experience in identifying business HSEQ system needs and architecture.
  • Developing and Implementing HSEQ Systems: Experience developing and implementing HSEQ systems.
  • Understanding of Office HSEQ Requirements: Understanding of office HSEQ requirements.
  • Applied Knowledge of QHSE Management Systems: Applied knowledge of QHSE Management Systems and quality tools.
  • Consultative Approach: A consultative approach and ability to partner with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Construction Experience: Ideally some construction experience and an understanding of construction processes.
