High Availability Database Administrator

The successful candidate will maintain continuous availability and optimal performance of DB2 databases supporting critical batch operations. We are seeking an experienced professional to ensure the integrity of our database systems.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and administer DB2 databases in a high-availability, enterprise-scale environment.
- Conduct regular administrative tasks including backups, restores, user access management, patching, and version upgrades.
- Proactively monitor system health and resource usage to identify and address performance issues.
- Collaborate with development and support teams to troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents affecting batch workflows.
- Implement robust security protocols to safeguard sensitive data and ensure adherence to compliance standards.
- Australian citizenship is required due to government-related work involved in this role.
- Demonstrated experience managing DB2 databases in a high-availability, enterprise-scale environment.
- Solid understanding of batch processing systems and their integration with database platforms.
- Strong skills in performance tuning, capacity planning, and system optimization.
- Experience with backup and recovery strategies, user access controls, and patch management.
- Knowledge of data security standards and compliance requirements.
