Job Title: Fixed Term 0.2 FTE Staff Specialist

The role is an exciting opportunity to participate as a senior clinician in the development and operation of the statewide tertiary clinical consultation and liaison service.

This team consists of professionals working together to provide consultative services for NSW public inpatient services caring for individuals experiencing extreme behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD).

We seek applicants who can take part in planning, service development, travel across various Local Health District Regions, and provide team-based CL services within inpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tertiary level consultative services to NSW public inpatient services
  • Work with a small team to deliver peer-to-peer support and opportunities for personal and professional growth
  • Travel across various regions to provide team-based CL services
  • Participate in planning and service development

Requirements:

  • Hold a Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent qualification
  • Be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency
  • Have sound clinical knowledge in Old Age Psychiatry and experience working with BPSD
  • Be able to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
  • Possess high-level interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be committed to maintaining and developing knowledge, skills, and professional performance to contemporary standards
