Content Specialist Role

Our organization seeks a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Content Specialist.

In this position, you will be responsible for managing all stages of the publishing process, from project management to copy-editing, proofreading, and final file preparation.

This includes reviewing and reporting on manuscripts, proposals, and books submitted for publication, as well as maintaining accurate title data in our bibliographic system.

You will also oversee copyright clearances for text and visual materials, ensuring seamless collaboration between departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure high-quality standards in editing, proofreading, and production processes.
  • Review and report on manuscripts, proposals, and books submitted for publication.
  • Maintain accurate title data in our bibliographic system.
  • Manage copyright clearances for text and visual materials.
  • Provide administrative support to the publishing department.

Requirements:

  • Possess strong knowledge of spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Have excellent time management skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Be able to liaise directly with authors to resolve proofreading queries and style/consistency matters.
  • Be able to facilitate communication between the author and other departments.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Previous experience within the book and entertainment industries.
  • Experience working within an editorial environment.
