Job Role:

A support worker is a vital role in providing assistance and care to individuals in need. The successful applicant will be responsible for building positive relationships with participants, encouraging self-determination and active involvement in their recovery journey.

This role requires the ability to identify and assess risks associated with participant activities and communicate mitigation strategies to management. Additionally, the support worker will assist with day-to-day tasks, including light cleaning, room preparation for new arrivals, and transportation to appointments.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with participants, promoting self-determination and participation in their recovery journey.
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure a safe environment.
  • Contribute to daily operations by assisting with tasks such as cleaning, room preparation, and transportation.
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Report any identified risks or concerns to supervisors in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
  • Hold a relevant Certificate-level qualification and/or possess prior experience or on-the-job training in a similar role. A Diploma-level qualification will also be considered.
  • Possess a current First Aid Certificate (desirable).
  • Hold a valid Driver's Licence.
  • Must hold a Working with Children Check (WWCC – Blue Card).
