Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and analyzing water and soil samples, conducting procedures according to Quality Work Instructions, and organizing tasks to maximize daily efficiencies.

About the Role:

  • Prepare and analyze water and soil samples using various laboratory techniques
  • Conduct procedures and tasks according to Quality Work Instructions (QWIs) to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Organize tasks to maximize daily efficiencies and meet deadlines
  • Perform calculations during analytical preparations and provide accurate results
  • Operate sample preparation equipment and maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Highlight anomalies in results and sample type/behavior to section supervisor
  • Assist in other duties as required

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a high throughput, client-focused environment with preference given to those with previous commercial laboratory experience
  • High level of attention to detail, good communication and organizational skills
  • Understanding of good laboratory practices
  • Client Service and Safety Focused
  • Judgement and Problem-Solving Skills
  • Ability to work well autonomously or in a team environment
  • Good Chemical knowledge and safe handling procedures
