We are seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for underwriting new and existing business within set guidelines and authority levels.
Key Responsibilities- Underwrite new and existing business within set guidelines and authority levels
- Mentor and develop underwriters to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed
- Report to senior management on underwriting performance and portfolio performance
- Collaborate with other stakeholders to maximize underwriting opportunities and minimize expenses
- Develop and execute new business opportunities with existing and new brokers
- 5+ years of experience in underwriting, preferably in the financial services industry
- Demonstrable ability to grow a profitable portfolio
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
