Job Opportunity: Meat Cutter Apprentice


Cutting meat to specifications for variety, size, quality, and trim under supervision is a key responsibility of the Meat Cutter Apprentice. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service, consistent operating conditions, and a welcoming atmosphere.


The role involves preparing and packaging food products, processing customer orders, receiving and breaking down meat deliveries, and maintaining production standards. Additionally, the apprentice will properly wrap, weigh, and price product as needed, ensuring accurate pricing and minimizing waste.


Key skills and qualifications for this position include:

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain the same.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.

Preferred qualifications include a high standard of integrity and reliability. Required behaviors include living company values, unifying and motivating team members, being business-driven, customer-oriented, and people-passionate.


Stocking and rotating department products to ensure freshness and date control are also essential responsibilities. Reporting faulty equipment and hazards to management is another critical duty.
