Salary Range

$65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role

WorkFocus NSW is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist to join their multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective rehabilitation plans for clients.

Your primary goal will be to help clients regain their independence and achieve their goals in life and work. You will work closely with clients, family members, funding bodies, medical practitioners, employers, and stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments relevant to your discipline to develop and implement effective rehabilitation plans.
  • Design and implement intervention programs using occupation to improve functional performance, independence, and work capacity.
  • Identify barriers and design, implement, and monitor programs that support people to achieve maximal work participation.
  • Understand various healthcare and rehabilitation funding schemes and empower clients to achieve their wellness and recovery goals.
  • Liaise with clients, family members, funding bodies, medical practitioners, employers, and stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
Requirements
  • Australian-recognised degree qualification in Exercise Physiology and ESSA accreditation.
  • Willingness to learn and impact positively on people's lives in tangible ways.
  • The ability to engage clients and stakeholders in the wellness and work journey.
  • A commitment to a high level of customer service to clients and customers.
  • Ability to work in the community (must have a driver's license and access to own vehicle).
  • Current or able to obtain a Working with Children Check and Police Clearance.
