We're seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Junior AI Model Engineer.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with our Engineering Manager and senior model engineers to support the design and execution of experiments for model fine-tuning and adaptation techniques.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and curating high-quality datasets for training and evaluation, analyzing experiment results, implementing model components, and contributing to research in novel techniques for improving model performance.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support Model Experiments: Assist in the design and execution of experiments for model fine-tuning (SFT, RLFT) and other adaptation techniques.
  • Data Preparation & Analysis: Help prepare and curate high-quality datasets for training and evaluation, and assist in analysing experiment results.
  • Implement Model Components: Write code for specific parts of the training and inference pipeline under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Contribute to Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest research papers and help the team explore novel techniques for improving model performance.
Requirements

We're looking for a candidate with a strong academic background in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. A solid foundation in Python and a deep understanding of machine learning fundamentals, probability, and statistics are essential.

A bonus would be internship or research experience in AI, familiarity with transformer architectures, and a completed or in-progress Master's degree or PhD.
