Data Modelling Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Modeller to lead our data modelling team in Brisbane. As a Senior Data Modeller, you will be responsible for analysing business requirements and translating them into robust logical and physical data models.

Your day-to-day will involve designing and optimising database structures, including tables, views, and relationships, to ensure maximum performance and scalability. You will be a champion for data quality and integrity, collaborating closely with clients and internal teams to capture precise data requirements and ensure solutions are perfectly aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop dimensional data marts using the Kimball methodology
  • Proven proficiency in a cloud environment with hands-on expertise in SQL, Databricks, and dbt (data build tool)
  • Expertise using industry-standard data modelling software such as ER/Studio, ERwin, or similar tools
  • Create data models specifically to support business intelligence platforms and advanced analytics
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years of direct experience in data modelling
  • Strong understanding of core data management principles, including metadata management and data governance best practices
