We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AWS Data Platform Engineer to join our team. As an AWS Data Platform Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data-driven solutions that drive business growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Migrate large-scale datasets from Cloudera to AWS native data services using HMS and Glue.
  • Ensure seamless integration of data across various platforms and services while maintaining data integrity and consistency.
  • Automate data migration and synchronisation processes and workflows using Python and Bash scripting languages.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including data engineers and platform engineers to ensure cohesive and efficient operations.
  • Document incident response plans and resilience documentation for knowledge transfer and use in platform certification.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Extensive experience with AWS Glue, AWS Lake Formation, and AWS EMR.
  • Strong background in data migration projects, particularly from Cloudera to AWS native data services.
  • Proficiency in AWS services such as S3, Redshift, and Athena.
  • In-depth knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and infrastructure as code platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
