Role Summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Mental Health Professional to provide early intervention and therapy services to support children and their families in maximising their independence and participation.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments to determine goals and areas of need.
  • Providing expert information, education, and support to clients and families.
  • Developing tailored, routine-based goals with clients and families.
  • Delivering evidence-based therapy interventions and resources.
  • Reviewing progress and setting new priorities in collaboration with clients and families.
  • Fostering inclusion and participation in community activities.
  • Closely collaborating with key stakeholders and ensuring ongoing communication and support.
  • Maintaining continuous improvement through regular evaluation and review.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary Qualifications: Hold tertiary qualifications in Psychology with current registration with the relevant governing body.
  • Passion for Making a Difference: Have a genuine passion for making therapy fun, engaging, and meaningful for families.
  • Counselling Skills: Possess the ability to provide counselling and offer knowledge of therapeutic interventions to children, young people, and parents.
  • Experience: Experience in completing risk assessments and mental health assessments is highly desirable.
