Job Description

The Supply Chain Optimisation Lead plays a crucial role in driving strategic initiatives that enhance the overall efficiency, performance, and cost-effectiveness of our supply chain. This position leads the optimisation team in analysing the downstream network, identifying opportunities for reducing lead times, minimising costs, and improving service levels to better meet customer needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Analyse the downstream supply chain network to identify areas for improvement in cost reduction, lead time, and customer service.
  • Oversee the execution of complex projects aimed at optimising supply chain processes and building new capabilities across the value chain, ensuring timely and successful implementation.
  • Develop and implement strategies that reduce supply chain costs while shortening lead times without compromising on service quality.
  • Partner with logistics, distribution, and production teams to align supply chain optimisation with broader business goals and ensure seamless cross-functional collaboration.
  • Drive the development and adoption of new tools, systems, and capabilities that improve supply chain efficiency and scalability.
  • Identify risks within the supply chain and implement strategies to mitigate potential disruptions, ensuring resilience and continuity.
Key Qualifications
  • Experience in a similar role leading optimisation across Supply Chain operations, preferably network optimisation, lead time reduction, and cost management.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams, fostering collaboration, and building a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Proven experience in managing and executing complex, large-scale projects from concept through to implementation.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles, particularly in downstream network optimisation, lead time reduction, and cost management.
  • Expertise in analysing large datasets to inform supply chain strategy and decision-making, with a focus on driving efficiency and service improvements.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across procurement, logistics, and planning functions.
