About the Role

We're seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Vintage Assistant Winemaker at our Tintara Winery. As a key member of our winemaking team, you'll be responsible for assisting in the creation of our premium wines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the production of high-quality wines, ensuring they meet our stringent quality standards.
• Participate in daily ferment tastings to ensure the optimal flavor and aroma profiles.
• Oversee the daily grape intake and processing to ensure efficient and effective winemaking processes.
• Collaborate with the winemaking team to develop and implement new wine styles and recipes.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to our strict health and safety protocols.
• Assist in the preparation of work orders and ensure compliance with wine specifications.

Requirements:

• Full working rights in Australia
• A passion for wine and winemaking
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Enthusiasm, reliability, and energy
• A willingness to get hands-on and work in a fast-paced environment
• A tertiary qualification in winemaking or a related science

Desirable:

• Previous vintage winemaking experience
• Forklift license
