In our service department, we prioritize delivering top-notch maintenance and operational support for wind farms across Australia.

  • Work location: Various locations in Regional Western Australia
  • Working hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with on-call duties approximately once every 3-4 weeks
  • Travel requirements: Up to a specified number of days annually
  • Starting salary: Competitive entry-level salary, plus overtime and allowances
  • Residing or relocating near the wind farm is preferred for optimal work-life balance
  • DIDO arrangements are available for technicians across the country
  • Financial relocation assistance may be offered to successful candidates

Your daily responsibilities will include scheduled maintenance of turbines, responding to breakdowns, and troubleshooting issues, along with general parts replacement as necessary.

You will collaborate with a highly skilled, enthusiastic, and welcoming team eager to integrate you into their work family.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular service inspections in line with Vestas' standards, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and component troubleshooting
  • Ensure optimal turbine operation and effective use of condition monitoring and remote control systems
  • Maintain a well-equipped service vehicle and inventory by ordering necessary materials, tools, and spare parts
  • Assemble and service components according to current standards and work instructions, utilizing internal or external cranes when required
  • Adhere to the highest safety and environmental standards while meeting service targets

Required Qualifications

  • Electrical trade qualification with a strong desire to further develop skills in the industry
  • Proficient computer skills; experienced in using various tools or systems for work monitoring and documentation
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Valid driver's license

  • Deep understanding and commitment to maintaining the highest health and safety standards in the workplace
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders within wind turbines and perform physically demanding tasks at heights and in diverse weather conditions
  • Willingness to travel to other sites as needed
  • Enjoy working collaboratively and communicating with various stakeholders; close cooperation with field teams and broader business connections is essential
  • Solutions-oriented, independent, and well-organized in your work approach
