About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join our New Build Business Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate construction activities on site
  • Supervise and direct subcontractors and tradespeople
  • Ensure adherence to project specifications and building regulations
  • Monitor progress and provide regular reports to the Project Manager
  • Implement and maintain health and safety protocols
  • Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the construction process
  • Collaborate with the project team to achieve project milestones
  • Maintain accurate site records and documentation
Requirements
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Thorough understanding of construction processes
  • A proven track record in site supervision within the construction industry is essential
Skills and Knowledge
  • In-depth knowledge of legislation, rules, regulations and standards
  • Thorough understanding of SWMS and ITPs
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings, scopes of work and specifications
  • Proven ability to lead, coach and motivate small and geographically spread site teams
  • Ability to motivate and develop strong relationships with subcontractors
  • Understanding of tasks and activities of a wide variety of building trades
  • Ability to communicate well with and manage client expectations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project and a thorough understanding of Construction Programmes
Education and Experience
  • Trade qualification or a building related qualification
  • 5 years+ experience in the site supervision and management of remedial construction projects
  • Senior First Aid certificate
  • Construction Safety Induction (white) card
  • Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety advantageous
