About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Incident Response Officer to join our team at Incitec Pivot Fertilisers. This is a critical role that requires a strong focus on emergency preparedness and response.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice to Phosphate Hill personnel on emergency management matters and training requirements.
  • Develop and maintain Crisis Management and Recovery preparedness plans and procedures.
  • Lead the response to emergencies on site.
  • Train the Emergency Response team.
  • Manage drug and alcohol testing.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in a similar role within a mining or chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Certificate IV in Mine Rescue or equivalent.
  • Confined space and working at heights tickets.
  • Experience in firefighting and chemical spill response.
  • Vertical rescue experience desirable.

Northern Australian Operations consists of an Ammonium Phosphate Mine and Processing Plant (Phosphate Hill) and Sulphuric Plant (Mt Isa) in North Queensland. The facilities comprise of ammonia, beneficiation, phosphoric acid, granulation, and sulphuric acid plants, plus infrastructure, utilities, power generation, and housing to support the permanent workforce.
