Job Overview:

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with our organization and contribute to shaping the future of Australian healthcare. As a Australian Healthcare Training Expert, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education and training programs in general practice.

About the Position:

  • You will work closely with medical educators, senior medical educators, and national clinical lead to support assessment, medical education, strategy, and remediation functions.
  • You will deliver education and training activities associated with the PEP Specialist training program.
  • You will work as a medical educator mentor to conduct inductions, learning needs assessments, monitor participant progress, consultation observations, and case discussions.
  • You will participate in Workplace-Based Assessments (WBA) as an assessor.
  • You will conduct small group learning (SGL) webinars.
  • You will contribute to remediation, program document and resource development, and performance evaluations.

Requirements:

  • RACGP Fellowship is essential.
  • CCE (Clinical Competency Exam), External clinical teaching visit (ECTV) or WBA Assessing experience would be highly desirable.
  • Previous RTO experience in general practice performance assessment and education/training also highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated high level of initiative, conceptual and analytical thinking, and high level of attention to detail.
  • Confidence with technologies to assist GP training such as video conferencing (Zoom and Microsoft Teams), screen sharing, email, and web portals.
