Medical Equipment Technician Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Medical Equipment Technician to join our Central Sterile Supply Department at The Royal Melbourne Hospital. This is a part-time ongoing position available, rotating through all areas of the CSSD.
About the Role
The successful applicant will have completed Certificate III or IV in Sterilisation and possess a sound knowledge of AS 4187. They will work co-operatively within the team to ensure the needs of patients and their families and carers are met in accordance with hospital values.
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean and decontaminate reusable and semi-critical medical equipment used by the operating suite and clinical units on a daily basis.
- Loading and unloading ultrasonic instrument washers, dryers and sterilisers according to instructions.
Your Skills and Experience
- Certificate III or IV in Sterilisation.
- A minimum of 3 months experience as a Medical Equipment Technician.
