About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Travel Consultants to join our industry leading travel agency team in Melbourne. This is a great chance to work with a purpose-driven organisation that creates travel experiences and useful home products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote holiday packages, flights, hotels, cruises, tours and travel insurance
  • Build relationships with customers face to face and online, managing new enquiries, quotes, itineraries, amendments and cancellations
  • Facilitate domestic & international travel bookings and payments between travellers & suppliers, using Amadeus GDS
  • Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings, cross selling & up selling of travel products
  • Manage travel credits, refunds and changes
  • Attend sales meetings and achieve targets & KPIs
  • Attend industry events ie. supplier & product events, ship inspections & travel expos
What you'll need to be successful
  • Retail travel sales agency experience, essential
  • Certificate 3 in Travel or higher, preferred
  • GDS experience in Amadeus, Sabre preferred
  • Passion for travel industry and personal travel experience
  • Great customer service & communication skills
  • Excellent organisational, attention to detail & problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage workflow, set goals, meet sales targets & work productively
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent personal presentation
