Accounts Payable Specialist Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. This role involves analyzing and reconciling financial transactions, managing accounts payable processes, and ensuring accurate data entry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Invoice Analysis: Carefully review invoices for accuracy and completeness, and update records in our accounting system as necessary.
  • Reconstructing Accounts: Verify that accounts payable records match our general ledger, and make adjustments as needed.
  • Fixed Asset Reconciliation: Ensure that fixed assets are properly recorded and expensed in our accounting system, and reconcile against hard copy invoices and records.
  • Data Validation & Auditing: Regularly audit and validate data to ensure accuracy and minimize errors or duplication.
  • Data Analysis: Use analytical tools to identify patterns and trends in large datasets, and present findings clearly and concisely.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years current experience in Accounts Payable and reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with fixed asset registers and their importance.
  • Experience managing and entering large volumes of data with a focus on accuracy and speed.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Proficiency in basic Excel data analysis (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas); knowledge of SQL or other data manipulation tools is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with internal teams and present data insights.
  • Understanding of working in corporate settings with emphasis on data privacy, compliance, and security.
