Specialised Care Worker

As a Specialised Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing essential care to older people, enabling them to live independently in their homes. Your dedication and compassion will greatly improve their quality of life.

About the Role

In this key position, you'll be responsible for delivering personal care, assisting with daily tasks such as showering and dressing, preparing meals, and performing light household cleaning. You will also provide transportation to appointments and assist with shopping.

  • Personal Care: Providing assistance with showering, dressing, and other personal needs.
  • Home Assistance: Preparing meals, light household cleaning, and supporting clients with daily activities.
  • Transportation: Safely transporting clients to appointments and accompanying them during shopping excursions.
  • Medication Assistance: Helping clients manage their medication safely and effectively.

Requirements

  • Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and understanding when interacting with diverse individuals.
  • Prior experience in aged or community care is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • A valid Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle (with minimum Third Party Property Insurance) are required.
  • A Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support is desirable, though we can support your training if needed.
  • Flexibility is essential in responding to the changing needs of our home care clients.
