Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee the efficient management of our transport operations.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing logistics and supply chain processes, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products to various outlets across Metro Perth.

Duties will include determining and arranging weekly labour and vehicle requirements according to volume and time requirements, as well as liaising with customers for load requirements to ensure sufficient buffer window is worked for staging and loading activities of all carriers.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining records of work performed to facilitate invoicing of customers and reporting of KPIs, while ensuring all operations are conducted in a way that ensures the safety of staff, society, and the environment.

Strong communication skills are essential, with regular communication required with Drivers to ensure effective team building including toolbox talks and spot checks. Additionally, the ability to monitor supplier's maintenance requirements including service scheduling of company fleet with logbook requirements will be critical to success in this role.

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within the Transport & Logistics industry (preferable)
  • Sound knowledge of Logistics/Supply Chain Management (desirable)
  • Awareness of effective cost control principles
  • Understanding of transport processes and compliance regulations
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly in MS Office
  • The ability to work independently but also within a team structure
  • A positive 'can-do' attitude and strong problem-solving skills
