Job Description

As a key leader, this role plays a pivotal part in driving transaction management activities and project approvals. This position is integral to the successful delivery of large-scale redevelopments within Australia's largest urban renewal project.

The Director coordinates with multi-disciplinary teams and directs market interactions with developers, investors, and project sponsors to achieve commercially viable and high-quality outcomes for the government. This requires relevant experience and a deep understanding of both public and private sectors in project delivery, combined with innovation within a public sector environment to attract market participation and secure necessary approvals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transaction Management: Design and implement interactive tendering processes in accordance with agreed probity and process frameworks, guidelines, and regulations.
  • Tender Documentation: Oversee and coordinate the development of tender documentation, including expressions of interest through to request for proposals, land & lease valuation process, market engagement, interactive tendering processes, tender evaluations, and contract & financial close process in line with government timelines.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Successfully engage and negotiate with government stakeholders, institutional investors, GLM-PPP sponsors, developers, builders, community housing agencies, and other key industry players.
