The Opportunity

Make a meaningful impact by collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

We are seeking a talented Postdoctoral Researcher or Senior Research Fellow to join our team in Perth Children's Hospital. This position will support the Move to Improve (M2I) program, which aims to integrate physical activity into routine clinical care to enhance children's quality of life.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assembling and engaging the M2I Consumer Advisory Group.
  • Assisting/leading the analysis and interpretation of research data to identify key findings and implications for policy and practice.
  • Conducting analysis and interpretation of research data findings with input from the project team.
  • Developing and monitoring ethics and governance applications to the Human Research Ethics Committee.
  • Building and maintaining effective communication channels and working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

This 0.7 FTE – 1FTE opportunity will be available until March 2028.

About You

The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in a relevant discipline and possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Proven expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
  • Research experience in relevant fields such as child physical activity, chronic disease prevention, behaviour change, and implementation science in clinical settings.
  • The ability to build and sustain engagement with community groups and diverse stakeholders.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills including evidence of academic writing.
  • Experience with RedCAP and RStudio is desirable.
