Excavator Operator Job

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced excavator operator to fill a critical role on a large-scale earthworks project in New South Wales. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe, efficient and accurate operation of heavy plant and equipment to meet project milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate excavators and other plants to complete bulk earthworks, detailed excavation and trenching works.
  • Maintain compliance with Occupational Health and Safety standards, site safety procedures and environmental controls.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, surveyors and fellow operators to achieve project objectives.
  • Optimise machine use to meet program and productivity targets while minimising rework.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience operating an excavator.
  • Construction Safety Induction (White) card.
  • Ideal experience working on large sites with 20+ excavators.
  • Strong analytical skills and administrative focus.
