Job Overview:

Citi is seeking a skilled Tech Expert for Applications and Business Support, to join our team in Sydney.

This role requires a seasoned professional with 5-8 years of experience in Application Support, who can install, configure, or support business applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in programming languages like .Net, SQL, Autosys, ITRS Geneos, IBM MQ Websphere, File transfer protocols, Web servers, understanding of ECS, rabbit MQ, microservices, kafka, etc. and be willing to learn.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000-$180,000.

Responsibilities:

  1. Technical and Business Support: Provide technical and business support for users of Citi Applications, ensuring quick resolutions to app issues, driving stability, efficiency, and effectiveness improvements.
  2. Application Maintenance: Maintain application systems that have completed the development stage and are running in daily operations.
  3. Operational Excellence: Manage, maintain, and support applications and their operating environments, focusing on stability, quality, and functionality against service level expectations.
  4. Monitoring and Reporting: Perform same-day risk reconciliations, start-of-day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handovers.
  5. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Develop and maintain technical support documentation, effectively sharing information with other support team members and technology teams.

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of experience in Application Support.
  • Expertise in programming languages and tooling like .Net, SQL, Autosys, ITRS Geneos, IBM MQ Websphere, File transfer protocols, Web servers, ECS, rabbit MQ, microservices, kafka, etc.
  • Advanced execution capabilities and ability to adjust quickly to changes and re-prioritization.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, issue tracking, and reporting using tools.
  • Knowledge/experience of problem Management Tools.
  • All-round technical skills and ability to plan and organize workload.
