About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Consulting Manager to join our team at Mazars in Melbourne. As a key member of our Tax Consulting team, you will be responsible for providing outstanding tax advisory services to our diverse client portfolio, including international corporates, privately-owned businesses, and high wealth family groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake tax research, analyzing and interpreting tax legislation to provide expert advice to clients.
  • Draft advice for clients in relation to various Australian taxation issues, including corporate tax, capital gains tax, and personal income tax.
  • Assist with complex compliance obligations for our growing portfolio of international corporate clients.
  • Liaise and negotiate with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) on behalf of clients.
  • Provide high-level tax advice in all areas of taxation, including tax structuring and succession planning.
  • Work across a diverse range of industries, including financial services, healthcare, and technology.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored tax solutions.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in tax advisory within an Australian accounting firm.
  • Experience in income tax advice relating to corporate tax, capital gains tax, companies, personal income tax, and international tax.
  • Hold or be completing a Master's degree in Taxation or a related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex tax issues and provide expert advice.
