Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a part-time Pool Attendant position within our Sport & Recreation team at one of our Defence facilities in Townsville.

This role is ideal for someone who is fit, active, and energetic with a pleasant out-going personality and positive attitude.

The successful candidate will have the ability to build productive relationships with clients and customers and provide exemplary customer service.

  • Duties:
  • Conduct pool opening procedures, including removing pool covers, cleaning the pool and surrounds
  • Place lane ropes in pool and prepare all safety equipment
  • Test the pool water and record the daily results in SMM
  • Conduct lifeguard activities throughout the opening hours of the pool
  • Undertake the rescue of any user as required in accordance with standard work instructions covered by the certification
  • Ensure all pool safety equipment and rescue equipment is always available
  • Conduct pool closing procedures
  • Manage access to swimming pools by entitled members only

About You:

  • Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Fitness Certification (Preferred)
  • Pleasant out-going personality and positive attitude
  • Suitability for Defence security clearance (Australian citizenship mandatory)
