About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team and contribute to the successful delivery of rail infrastructure projects. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical expertise and support to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to evaluate project requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs.
  • Assist the Program/Project Manager in preparing project documentation, including safety plans, environmental plans, and quality plans.
  • Coordinate risk management workshops and rail safety reviews to ensure project risks are identified and mitigated.
  • Analyse drawings and design documentation for technical accuracy and suitability.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure assessment of safety in design and constructability reviews.
  • Participate in tender evaluation to select suitable suppliers.
  • Monitor and report project progress against the project plan, including scope, schedule, quality, cost, and earned value.
  • Coordinate handover process for completed works and ensure stakeholder acceptance.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated track maintenance or construction experience, preferably in a rail environment.
  • Substantial experience in project delivery and/or engineering works, preferably in a rail environment.
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders.
  • Substantial experience in providing engineering advice and support, including functional specification development, design coordination, and safety in design.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management support, including estimating, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing relevant standards, such as Australian Engineering and Technical standards.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive daily rate of $885/day, plus superannuation, and a hybrid work arrangement (WFH + office). Onsite travel may be required. Immediate start available.
