Programmed is a leading manufacturer and supplier of municipal vehicles and equipment based in Melbourne. We are seeking skilled Mechanical Maintenance Specialists to join our team.

Position Details:

  • Hours: Full-time, Monday-Thursday 7am-4pm, Friday 7am-1pm, with potential for overtime.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance on company vehicles, including trucks, vans, utes, and street sweepers.
  • Attend breakdowns to diagnose and repair faults.
  • Offer timely support, information, and assistance to customers.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and complete detailed reports.
  • Read and interpret engineering design drawings.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul customer equipment.
  • Assemble mechanical components to meet design and build requirements.
  • Undertake fault diagnosis, repairs, and modifications.
  • Complete administrative records of work performed.
  • Comply with company-wide policies and procedures.

About You:

  • Cert 3 or 4 in Automotive Technician, or a Qualified Automotive/Diesel Mechanic.
  • Service or Workshop Technician experience in the automotive industry preferred. Qualified tradesmen looking for a change will be considered.
  • Comfortable with developing their knowledge and moving into a Field Service Technician role.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Mechanically minded.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong understanding of OHS procedures.
  • Team player with a collaborative approach.

Estimated Salary: AU$65,000 - AU$80,000 per annum.
