Western Suburbs Client Support Advocate

We are seeking a Support Worker to provide high-quality support services to clients in Western Suburbs.
The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively in one or more languages including Karenni, Cantonese, Mandarin, Greek and Arabic.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver services in accordance with rostered hours and task lists.
- Assist care recipients through social support and recreational activities to enhance family and community interaction.
- Undertake personal assistance tasks to assist the care recipient with daily living activities.
- Observe, document and report any changes in the carer's or care recipient's behaviour, health and wellbeing.
- Participate in supervision and training sessions as required.
- Certificate III in HACC/Certificate IV in Aged Care, or equivalent for Disability Support program.
- Certificate III in HACC/Certificate III in Aged Care, or equivalent for Aged Care program.
- Current Level 2 First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Previous experience in disability or aged care field, in a comparable position.
- Ability to work without direct supervision, within guidelines and procedures.
- Desirable: formal qualifications in social work, community development, community services or related areas; excellent time management and task planning skills; previous experience working with carers from ethnic communities.
